Things We Love

I love crafting. It gives me immense pleasure to make something useful out of the things just lying around.

I create painting canvases using cardboards of the purchased goods. I stick newspapers and then glue white sheets on them. I paint these canvases and then cover them up with thin transparent plastic sheets to keep them clean. This saves buying canvas and framing process. I enjoy the whole process of creation and once it is ready, I hang it on the wall or keep on table, to be used as home decor. Just looking at them gives me satisfaction. This is the feeling which is missing in a haphazard lifestyle. It is important to make ourselves feel good, everyday. And that comes from the doing the things which we really love.

Recently I created Madhubani Art – a style of Indian painting, practiced in the Mithila region of the Indian subcontinent. I used my hand-made mini canvases and painted on it using poster colors and sketch pens.

Another canvas art.

They say one should always find time for doing the things which gives happiness.

The fast paced cycle of life seldom gives you opportunity for that. But it is more than important that we make ourselves feel better at times, to keep the fuel burning and shining.

What gives you happiness? Let me know in the comments below. Till then, keep shining!

Spread the love
